Reese’s Peanut Butter Balls

Needing an easy, simple candy treat?  Here is your answer, Reese’s Peanut Butter Balls.  Some folks call these buckeye’s which work just fine if you leave one side not covered with chocolate.  I completely covered my candy treats with chocolate.

Honestly you can make these into any shape you enjoy.  Easter time shape them into eggs and you have Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs, see how the name changes depending on how you shape them.

Make up two batches, one for your family and one as a treat for a special friend, family down the road, teacher, hair dresser, the list goes on and on.

What is so special about these is not only the taste, I can almost guarantee you have all the ingredients on hand to make up a batch.

1 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Add peanut butter, vanilla, butter and 1 cup powdered sugar to a saucepan.  On medium heat stir to combine.  Continue stirring until everything comes together and starts to bubble.

Remove from heat and stir in remaining 1/4 cup powdered sugar.  Set aside to cool.

When cool shape into balls and place on parchment paper on top of cookie sheet.  Place in refrigerator to chill peanut butter balls.

I used melting chocolate about half a bag.  Melt on high for 90 seconds. Stir and continue heat for 15 seconds and stirring until completely melted.

Remove chilled peanut butter balls from refrigerator.  Dip into melted chocolate and place on parchment paper to set up.  ENJOY!
