No Bake M&M Snack Bars

Tired of the store-bought flavored enhanced expensive snack bars?  Ever thought about making your own?  This NO BAKE bar will make you wonder why you ever bought those expensive bars.

Plus if you’re not into M&M’s add dried fruit like raisins instead.  Let the kids pick out their favorite topping and make a batch for each kid to have their very own personal snack bar.

2 cups Rice Krispie cereal
2 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup coarsely crushed pretzels
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter or use chunky your choice.
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup M&M’s or favorite topping.

Prepare a 9×13 baking dish lined with foil and sprayed with cooking spray.

In a large bowl, combine the Rice Krispies, oats and pretzels.

In a medium saucepan combine the brown sugar and corn syrup.  Bring to a boil over medium heat.

Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla.

Pour the mixture over the cereal mixture. and stirring quickly until coated evenly.

Pour into prepared pan and press down.

Add M&M’s over the top and press down firmly so they will stick.

Cut into bars and ENJOY!

  1. Ymmmm! These sounds like those Quaker Chewy bars. I used to eat those all the time growing up. But I love the idea of making these from scratch instead. Pinning for later!

    1. Never tried swapping out for honey. I would use the same amount and see how it comes out. Let me know if you do and how it taste please.

  3. You can never go wrong with M&M’s! No bake recipes are the best. Especially when you have a busier lifestyle and need to get things done. I have a great peanut butter/chocolate/oatmeal no bake cookie that I love making 🙂

  4. Oh wow, these sound delicious and I love that they’re no-bake! As soon as it starts to get hot out I hate having to use the oven for long periods on top of making dinner, so these will be perfect 😉

  5. This is a snack both my girls and I can enjoy. They would also enjoy making it. I also like how I could switch out the M&Ms for any candy or topping I want.

  10. That looks so yummy! Unfortunately, I have to cut out just about all of that from my diet. However, my kids would enjoy that so much, and they could even make it! The no bake makes it a bit easier for them.
